What a stunning place.
We were lucky to arrive when we did - it was the last weekend of the season. Apparently the weather has been a lot milder this year - other years the snow is already two feet deep.
We were lucky with the weather too - apparently sometimes you can't see much lake, but for us it was clear and breathtakingly calm.
I dunno how busy the place gets at peak season, but we only saw a few other folk - just two other couples walking down the 1 mile trail to the waters edge. The boat rides were closed for winter, but it was a lovely walk.

Not a bad view from our hotel room :-) |

Lakes need islands to give perspective - like Emerald Island at Lake Tahoe, Wizard Island adds to the beatuy of the place |

Adam making ripples :-) Even these small waves go further and last longer than you can believe, like a school physics teacher's dream! |

Later in our journey through Oregon, we found an antique shop which helpfully added a description of what antiques are :-) |
