We couldn't tell if Ferndale was a real place, or just a Disney version of a real place.

Oregon Caves
These caves were wonderful, and we had an excellent tour guide.
Afterwards we took a Forestry Service road across country - we really felt like
we were "out there". Stopping the car after a few miles it was so quiet, with
the occasional eagle or chipmunk to keep us company.
