Some pictures from Bruce Card's
Track Tamers
track day at Cadwell Park short circuit, 2nd August 1997.
Click the little pictures for bigger ones (as if you needed to be told!).
Mark Wickens has some more pictures
from the event.
Sarah's VFR400 was still in bits so she brought along her nearly-run-in
GPZ500S. In the first picture, Sarah & Amanda endure a long wait for some
middle-group crasher to be scraped off the track. There were a lot of crashers
that day, must be all the IAM riders present!
Russell high-sided his ZX-9R at Charlies in May, breaking his right wrist.
For the Ixion@Cadwell day in June he rode
but wasn't fully recovered. At Cardwell he was much better, although still
a slow old codger :-)
After having a go on a 250 race bike, the ZX-9R almost immediately went up
for sale and Russell started shopping for an Aprilia RS250 ...
This was my first track day on the ZXR after I
stupidly crashed it
just before
Ixion@Cadwell.
I rode our
ZX-6R
there but wished I'd had the ZXR. Luckily I got it fixed just in time for
Cardwell and had a great time. I was a bit disappointed with my corner speeds
on the ZXR - the ZX felt much faster into and through the turns, and eroded a
lot more knee-slider.
