1 mile into his second lap after arriving at the ring, Richard overtook some bikes going into Hocheichen, found he had too much speed for the resulting line, and span the car into the armco at the exit.
Richard had a small cut on the head, but his passenger (Luca) didn't have the straps done up tight enough and banged his head on the car's roll bar. Luca went to Adenau hospital for stitches and couldn't put his helmet on for a couple of days ...
