On 3rd October 1998, some members of the IWOC mailing list took their scoobies
to Power Engineering in Uxbridge for a dyno run.
I wasn't there, but I hate to see scans of rolling-road printouts so
I offered to clean up the output ...
Here's a comparison of two 22Bs, one standard and one which has been tuned
and seems to have lost 50bhp!
This shows the gains to be had from some minor modifications. These two
'98 UK cars both had about 4,000 miles on them so still have a bit of loosening-up
to go. KNH is totally standard and running on 95RON (regular
unleaded) fuel, while OAN has a Ramair filter and Scoobysport
silencer, and is running on 98RON (super unleaded) fuel.
BYD
is yet another 4,000 mile '98 model, this time with Prodrive's performance
pack consisting of Ramair filter, silencer and upgraded ECU (and upgraded
brake pads). It's run 98RON fuel since new.
